In the second quarter of 2024, the top five personal finance budgeting and planning apps on iOS in Ghana showcased varied performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads and active user trends, based on data from Sensor Tower.

CashTrails+: Personal Finance experienced a stable number of weekly downloads, with figures fluctuating between 349 to 561. The app saw its highest downloads in the week of June 3, reaching 561. Active user trends for CashTrails+ were quite consistent, starting at 6.2K in the first week of April and peaking at approximately 6.4K in the week of June 3, before ending the quarter at around 6K.

Pink Budget Planner had an interesting quarter with a significant spike in downloads towards the end. While the app saw negligible downloads for most of the quarter, it picked up dramatically in the last two weeks of June, with downloads surging to 2.1K in the week of June 24.

Money Manager Expense & Budget showed a gradual increase in downloads throughout the quarter. Starting with 48 downloads in the first week of April, the numbers grew steadily to 96 by the weeks of May 27 and June 17. Active users also showed a positive trend, starting at 862 in the first week of April and reaching 919 by the end of June.

Stashup.Susu demonstrated a notable rise in downloads towards the end of the quarter. The app began with modest numbers, ranging from 5 to 46 downloads per week in April, but saw a significant increase in June, achieving 234 downloads in the week of June 17 and maintaining a similar figure the following week.

Loan Planner - EMI Calculator, which was released in early May, gained traction quickly. The app recorded 367 downloads in the week of June 17 and increased to 396 downloads in the last week of June.
